We run a 17 foot technical polling skiff built by Hewes (Maverick, Pathfinder) known as the Tail fisher. It is designed with a tunnel hull and an extremely low draft for a swift & silent approach! Drafting less than 6 inches and a hull weight of 750lbs, this skiff gets you anywhere the fish are feeding. It comfortably fishes 2 anglers off of the bow while I am pushing from the stern. I am a full-time captain of the mosquito lagoon. Guiding anglers of all skill levels to not only fish, but memories of a lifetime is what I do and love. I don’t have the legendary "First trip to the Mosquito Lagoon" story because I was simply too young to remember the first line I got wet there. It is the 18+ years after my first Fishing trip there as a 4 or 5 year old where the story lies. at the age of 21 ( in 2015) I received my U.S. Coast Guard captains license and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge Commercial Business Permit to conduct fishing charters in the mosquito lagoon. I have been striving to do something I truly love for a living! Seeing the excitement on my clients faces as they hold the rod fighting a fish on the other end of the line, and sharing that moment with someone they care about is what I've come to love most about this job.
